This retreat is for QTBIPOC folks interested in exploring their yoga practice (or starting one!) and learning more about permaculture while mellowing out in the lush tropical forests of Costa Rica.

Rise each morning to the sounds of birds and cicadas for a relaxing day of yoga and refreshing dips in the Rio Tuli. Enjoy farm-fresh meals. Learn about fermenting, cacao cultivation, and chocolate-making on an ecovillage, and fall asleep to the peaceful sounds of the jungle in one of the open-air rooms.

Meals: All meals provided. We are happy to accommodate different food needs and preferences, such as vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free diets.

Transportation: Folks will arrive in San Jose and stay for one night, and then the shuttle will take everyone to VerdEnergia. We are covering transportation to and from SJO and the shuttle to VerdEnergia.

YOUR HOST

Biola Jeje, an RYT-500 Yoga Teacher, has led yoga and breathwork in studios and retreats across the United States, Mexico, and Panama.

She has spent over a decade as an activist, organizer, and communications strategist managing campaigns for political candidates, movements, and organizations.

As an eldest daughter and first-generation Nigerian-American, she wants to help others regain some of the joy and play too often taken from parentified children and help them tap into their inherent gifts and heal generational trauma.
